RID call results in driver's license suspension

ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service members responded to a report impaired drivers (RID) call regarding a vehicle leaving a store parking lot on March 21. 

Vehicle was located a short time later. Driver tested positive for THC on the roadside screening device. Driver was issued 72-hour driver’s license suspension and three-day vehicle impound.

The same day police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle in a residential area of the city. Several tools and other items were taken from the vehicle. Statement was obtained from the victim. The matter is under investigation.
