ASSINIBOIA - These past few days have been filled with action by the students in ACHS. The badminton teams did amazing in districts and the drama club is working overtime to give everyone a big show in May. Both the senior and bantam players headed to Moose Jaw for the South Central District Playoffs on April 27. All the players did exceptionally well and worked hard for their titles.

In the boys doubles section, Keaton Hillmer and Ty Reid gained the gold medal and solidified their position for the district finals in Rosetown, to be held May 4.

Additionally, in the boys singles category, Eric Helland achieved gold. In the girls singles Rylee Huys reached the silver medal and in the girls doubles Gg Simard and Shreya Virani placed second in their pool and made it to the bronze game, but were sadly cut short. In the mixed doubles category, Ayesha Martin and Ryan Corcoran placed first in their pool and made it to the bronze game but also came up short against the other players. This weekend marks the end of the bantam season.

Last weekend the school stage and drama room saw some action when the drama group had a dry run of the dress rehearsal on April 27. Both the crew and actors are working hard to give the town a wonderful show that will inspire others in the school to participate in art.

The drama group hopes that everyone is excited and ready to see the hard work being put into action.
