Distributing tests keeps firefighters busy

CARLYLE - COVID-19 testing kits are available at the new fire hall.

Last week, members of Carlyle Fire and Rescue were busy handing out BD Veritor Systems for rapid detection of COVID-19 to area residents. Supplies were received from the provincial government and every single household was able to acquire a bundle of 10 self-tests at no charge.

As explicitly noted on the self-testing guide, these provincially funded negative self-test (rapid antigen tests) will not be accepted as valid proof of negative COVID-19 test results. However, self-tests purchased through a private licensed lab service provider or a user-paid monitored testing program will be accepted.
