Ray Frehlick, in blue, can be seen peering through the new computerized tomography (CT) scanner in Estevan’s St. Joseph’s Hospital during its Feb. 22 ribbon cutting. Ray and his wife Doris donated $155,000 to the initiative, which is housed in the Ron and Shirley Carson Diagnostic Centre. The Carsons donated $500,000. Other oilpatch-related major donations included Kelly and Arlene Lafrentz ($100,000) and Mel Grimes and family ($100,000).
