The staff at the Assiniboia’s branch of the RBC have spent a busy summer volunteering in Assiniboia and surrounding communities as part of their Days of Service program. They assisted with the landscaping at Limerick Park on June 8. The work included laying mulch, planting flowers and pulling weeks. This is a huge job because the park is large, covering most of the block. In addition to the volunteer work, the RBC branch donates $1,000 to the community group that it is assisting. RBC branch staff presenting the cheque to the Village of Limerick included, from the left in the back row, Marlene Mellquist, Bonnie Ruzicka, RBC Assiniboia branch manager Savannah Drouin, Sharon Schauenberg, Ryan Mellquist, Marlene Bushell, Dave Skarbon; and in the front row, Debbie Richards, Marla Brandon, Desmond Mergen, and Janet Heatcoat. Every Spring at RBC branches across the Canada, staff participate in RBC Days of Service where they volunteer at a local charity and make a donation. The RBC staff has volunteered on projects in Willow Bunch, St. Victor, Assiniboia and Limerick.
