ESTEVAN — An Estevan Regional Nursing Home resident continued her good tradition of supporting the Estevan Community Hamper Association and the Angel Tree program, by donating dozens of hand-made scarves.

This year Angela Brokenshire was able to make 114 scarves to be distributed to people in Estevan through the Angel Tree.

She’s been working throughout the year with the charity organization in mind, and when the time came, she was excited to be able to make someone’s winter a bit cozier.

Brokenshire comes up with her own designs, her scarves turn colourful and bright, and this fun hobby keeps her occupied, focused and fulfilled.

Last year, Brokenshire gifted around 100 scarves she made through the pandemic. And once her current donation was dropped off with the charity, opening space in her room, she promptly started working on new projects for the next year.
