Cleanup-3908
The city-wide spring cleanup, dubbed Wey-Clean Week encourages residents and volunteer groups to be out to clean up.

WEYBURN - The City of Weyburn is looking to local businesses, clubs and organizations to get out and help clean our community during its week-long cleanup campaign scheduled for next month.

Wey-Clean Week 2024 will be held May 6-10, and the City is asking you to pitch in!

The City is highlighting different neighbourhoods each day of the week, using its garbage collection areas (visit https://weyburn.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/2024-Refuse-Map.pdf for area map):

• May 6 – City crews focusing city-wide

• May 7 – Area 1

• May 8 – Area 2

• May 9 – Area 3, 4 & 5

• May 10 – Downtown

There are public garbage cans located in all city-owned parks. Goliath Disposal will also be setting up roll off bins in each area to dispose of the garbage you collect (see cleanup map attached for locations).

The City believes that properly disposing of waste is a simple action we can all take to make our community a safer and more attractive place to live, play and work.   Tag us on social media @cityofweyburn and #weycleanweek to show your community pride!

If your organization is interested in participating, please contact our Engineering department for more details at (306) 848-3221 or by emailing kpaul@weyburn.ca.   Garbage bags and gloves are supplied and will be available at City Hall for pickup or delivery.
