A large tree is felled with the unmistakable signs of a beaver's activity at the base near a stream on the Souris Valley grounds. With spring coming early, there are at least two beavers' dens along this waterway, and on the shore there are many trees showing similar damages as this one as the beavers get the branches and tree trunks they need for their den and damming activities.
