Crocus 80 takes murder to the stage

Nine cast members will take the stage later this month for the next production of Crocus 80 Theatre, 'Murder Most Fouled Up'. Under the direction of Gwen Wright, some familiar faces, as well as few fresh ones, are sure to draw crowds for the four performances, which run from November 22 to 25.

The theatre troupe's latest play is a mysterious comedy, complete with haunting, murder and mayhem. Will the household ghosts save the day? Or will the Randall family be doomed to repeat their murderous pattern? Marshall Schettler, Emera Megenbir, Susan Adderly, Austin Shauf, Marna McManus, Doug Loden, Freda Lautner, Lois Watts and Bob Linnell have been rehearsing for the hilarious play, which will be offered as a dinner theatre on the evenings of November 22 to 24 and as a matinee including a Rotary Club dessert theatre on the 25th.

Logan White, Elizabeth Nikkel, Jessica Jack, Travis Longman and Jade Rooney, cast members of 'The Script' will be in Kerrobert, SK this weekend to compete in a TheatreOne event against other theatre groups in the province. While there, the Crocus 80 group will also have the opportunity to attend performances as well as Theatre Saskatchewan workshops.

Crocus 80 is also planning to perform a play written by a former troupe member, the award-winning Ed Willet, for the city's upcoming centennial celebration. 'Circle the Crops', which should include many references to the local area.
