Weyburn Arts Council is offering a Fine Arts Award to Weyburn and area post-secondary students with specific criteria. This award is being offered on a yearly basis and the deadline for applications is April 30. This will allow the applicants time to develop their applications in full and will allow the Arts Council sufficient time to review the submissions.
Students entering the fields of graphic arts, architecture, interior design, photography, visual arts, or music are eligible to apply. Students must provide proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institution, a list of extra-curricular activities, a record of high school marks, letters of reference, a detailed history of community and volunteer involvement, work history and a recommendation from an involved teacher as to why they feel this student would be deserving of such an award.
This scholarship is available to first year post-secondary students in the amount of $500 and will be presented by a representative of the Weyburn Arts Council for the media.
