Fundraiser for local family

A fundraiser will be held at the Weyburn Legion Auditorium on Friday, August 19 in support of Dayna Forsyth and her family.

A fundraiser will be held at the Weyburn Legion Auditorium on Friday, August 19 in support of Dayna Forsyth and her family.

Dayna has been diagnosed with Factor V leoleiden Thrombophilla, a blood clotting disorder that has left a massive blood clot in her left leg that runs from her abdomen to her ankle. Dayna is seven months pregnant which makes treating the clot very complicated.

The fundraiser will be help to offset the medical expenses that the Forsyths have had to deal with. Dayna has been advised to have the baby in Edmonton by her doctor and will be making the final trip there in the coming weeks.

Tickets are $30.00 and the event will include a chicken and rib supper at 6:30 p.m. followed by a silent auction and Chinese raffle.

All tickets must be purchased in advance by Sunday, August 14 and are available at Great Plains Ford, Tremcar West, Weyburn Legion and from Lisa Schenner at Golden West Radio.
