The Weyburn Horticultural Society will be holding one of its main fundraisers for the year with an Annual Plant Sale at the Credit Union in the Community Room. The sale begins at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9 and ends at 3:00 p.m. Plants go fast so be sure to visit early.
The Society's feature plant this year will be oriental lilies, though the society will also have its usual variety of perennials from local gardens.
Anyone wishing to donate plants to the sale should bring them to the Credit Union between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on May 8 or between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. on May 9.
In lieu of its April meeting, Horticultural Society executive and members will be visiting Prairie Greenhouses for a tour of new plants and more. Everyone should meet at the greenhouse at 6:30 p.m. or call Grace Plonka at 842-4171 to car pool.
