The Kinsmen Foundation's 'Telemiracle 36' will take place on March 3 and 4 and a few local shining talents will be performing. Weyburn's own rising star, Chelsea Woodard will be performing at 9:00 p.m. on March 3rd. A young singer from Weyburn, ten year old Jenna Chessall, will be performing at 11:00 a.m. on the 4th. Chessall was the winner of the Agricultural Society's 2011 Weyburn Youth Talent Search.

Originally a farm boy from the Khedive area, Matthew Hunter Bernard will also be performing on the Telemiracle stage, by his stage name Matt Hunter, at 1:30 a.m. on the 4th. Bernard will demonstrate his unusual 'fingerstyle' guitar method, which uses unconventional open tunings integrated with elements of percussion.

"Fingerstyle maximizes the dynamic potential of a guitar," said Bernard, who embraced the guitar at the age of seven and never looked back. Matt, who attended Pangman School, studied guitar with Mrs. Radmussen for several years in Radville, then with Cleo Coderre at Weyburn's Music Craft. He recently graduated from the University of Saskatoon with a B.Sc. in Agriculture, specializing in Food and Bioproduct Sciences and he is currently working on his Masters. Bernard has performed at many Saskatoon music venues: cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, and private or corporate functions.

"I challenge all Weyburn and area musicians to ring those phones!" said Matt Hunter.

The Kinsmen Foundation makes miracles by providing Saskatchewan people and organizations with special needs equipment and access to medical assistance. Through Telemiracle dollars, the Kinsmen Foundation is able to gift, for example, mobility equipment, travel costs to get to medical facilities, community vans and equipment in hospitals and health centres.
