Tribal Sportswear has partnered with Expressions boutique for the debut event of "Heart for Art".

The public is welcome to attend the event, which is happening all day on Saturday, February 25 at Expressions on Third Street in Weyburn.

Tribal Sportswear launched the Heart for Art initiative in 2012 to support art programs in middle schools. Tribal believes that an interest in fashion design is inspired from creativity in school and Heart for Art was created to engage retail partners and the local communities by supporting and strengthening creativity in visual and performing art departments.

Expressions boutique chose to honour Weyburn Junior High school teacher Mrs. Rebecca Olson. Mrs. Olson has been teaching at WJH for two years and has made exceptional accomplishments to the classroom and community.

"She goes above and beyond to ensure significant growth to the students and art program," said Michelle Killian, Manager of Expressions. "She is enthusiastic, generous with her time and shows so much dedication to her job and students."

Mrs. Olson will be presented with the award on February 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Expressions boutique in Metro Centre Mall. Olson will be given a plaque and a $250 gift card to purchase art supplies. She will also select an outfit from the Tribal collection, which is worth $150.

Expressions will offer food and refreshments all day for guests, who can also be entered into a draw to win $150 worth of Tribal clothing. Anyone who purchases anything at the boutique that day will also be given a Heart for Art T-shirt.
