The performers have been announced for the music festival portion of the Power Dodge Rafferty Rumble.

The music will be played from 9 a.m. on July 27 to 2 a.m. on July 28, with an abundance of Prairie musicians showcasing their talents.

The music will kick off with a local favourite, the Ross LeBlanc trio. As one of the performers for the original Rafferty Rumble back in the early 1990s, LeBlanc is no stranger to the local music scene.

The trio has travelled throughout the southeast for many events. Among those who will be on-stage with LeBlanc is Susan Shepherd.

West of Mabou, who is from Saskatoon, will bring their strong Scottish, Irish, and Cape Breton roots songs to deliver a unique blend of high-energy, traditional music with a contemporary flare.

They have released two albums, and have earned a number of award nominations, including Instrumental Group of the Year at the 2018 Canadian Folk Awards, and World Artist of the Year at the 2018 Western Canadian Music Awards. The band was also named as one of the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast’s Top Bands of 2017.

West of Mabou unites the talents of Scott Benson (fiddle), Jared Dormer (percussion), Justin Easton (guitar/bass), Alex Rasmussen (pipes/whistles) and Roberta Wallace (fiddle).

Southeast Saskatchewan trio Hook & Nail will also take the stage. Hook & Nail is an eccentric folk/roots trio comprised of three long-time friends: Jeff Michel, Mike Davis and Lindsay Arnold. They use their rich vocal harmony to tell the stories of the Prairies, past and present.

Hook & Nail’s debut album, Ghosts of Taylorton, was released in September 2018 and finished tied for fourth on SaskMusic’s Best Saskatchewan Albums list for last year.

Next up will be Megan Nash. Originally from Mortlach, Nash is no stranger to the Saskatchewan music scene. On her latest album Seeker, Nash collaborates with ambient/alt-rock unit Bears in Hazenmore.

In sharp contrast to the starkness of her previous acclaimed album Song Harvest Volume One, Seeker takes Nash’s roots-based songwriting to a different level.

Nash is in the midst of her personal quest for spiritual meaning on her own terms through Seeker. Her chosen path is through music, and as an artistic statement, Seeker displays the breadth of Nash’s talents as a songwriter, vocalist and producer.

Regina-based Nick Faye and the Deputies will play after Nash. Nostalgic and familiar, Nick Faye and The Deputies play a brand of late-90s inspired pop-rock.

The band consistently delivers high energy live performances and has become renowned for their comedic stage banter.

They recently released their third full-length album, Stumbling Distance, which was produced by Juno/Polaris award winning producer Michael Philip Wojewoda.

Up next will be Dead Levee, a gritty blues and rock ‘n’ roll band based in Regina. Members of Dead Levee have a signature look: tailored jackets, leather overcoats, denim tuxedos, silk scarves, bandanas, ripped jeans, leather boots, collared shirts and Converse shoes.

Dead Levee performs various styles of music.

Throughout the course of the last 12 months, Dead Levee has written and recorded their self-titled debut album. Shortly thereafter they hit the road for their first tour, travelling across central Canada.

Another Saskatchewan act, Bombargo delivers a punchy, energetic conviction that infuses a hint of blues and soul into their alternative rock vibe, creating a synergy.

The band built their reputation on the intense, raw energy of their performances. Bombargo truly connects to their audiences on multiple levels and have a growing fan base that supports the band at all of their sold-out shows.

Bombargo released their debut album, Back on Main, engineered and co-produced by S.J. Kardash, and released the music video for the song Precious Time, which has garnered thousands of YouTube views.

Ending the music festival is rising country star Brock Andrews. Andrews started his solo music career with the launch of his first full-length album Eight, which spent several weeks in the top 10 of the iTunes charts.

He has achieved international radio play across Canada and into the southern states with six songs from the album, including Collide, Beer in Heaven and Seven Hills.

Andrews is a four-time international award winning singer/songwriter who led all nominees for the 2017 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards with six.

He is ready to continue his rise in the Canadian country music scene with a new album, and singles which hit the airwaves this past January.

To cap the evening off will be the traditional street dance featuring such groups as The Bromantics, FogDog and El Guitaro.
