Contractor Norbert Kovalovszky prepares his mountain-climbing equipment before ascending up the wall behind the CIBC bank building in downtown Weyburn to do some work on the roof's drainage system. He said he used to go mountain climbing in his younger days, and used to use this equipment when working for a contractor in Hungary, before coming to Canada. On this building, he needed the equipment to be able to remove a cast iron pipe, and a tin drainage system down the side of the wall; he replaced it all with a PVC plastic pipe. The building is a heritage site, as it used to house the Weyburn Security Bank when it was founded in Weyburn as a chartered bank with its own currency.
