The Weyburn Agricultural Society will be hosting the 2012 Weyburn Rodeo this weekend, beginning with a jackpot team roping event on July 20 at 6:00 p.m. Many teams are expected to enter the team roping event with all events taking place at the agribition grounds.
The other events, which include barrel racing, steer wrestling, calf roping, bull riding and more, will take place July 21 and 22. A Kids Rodeo will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and the regular CCA and MRCA rodeo performances will take action beginning at 5:00 p.m.
On Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m., an event called Slack will take place, which is all participants joining in on a less dangerous stock event.
Tickets are available at the gates. Admission for adults is $12, for students it is $10, children six to 12 is $8 and free for children under six.
