Weyburn's Crocus City Sams attended the Provincial Samboree in Prince Albert from June 7 to 12, with 11 recreational vehicles.

Weyburn will be hosting the 2012 Samboree and expect approximately 300 recreational vehicles at the Weyburn Fairgrounds next June 6 to 10. Brad Johner will be the entertainment headliner, sponsored by Minard's Leisure World.

The Good Sam Club is a volunteer organization consisting of people who love to camp and value the parks and campgrounds in the province.

One project the club has underway for the coming year involves collecting tabs from pop and beer cans from all chapters in Saskatchewan. The tabs will be used to purchase wheelchairs for local hospitals.

The Crocus City Sams meet the first Monday of each month at the Royal Canadian Legion at 7 p.m.
