A read-through has been done and the main characters have been chosen for this year's musical, 'Oklahoma!' Director Colleen Weimer has chosen to redo the first musical done under her direction in 2000. Dates for this year's performances are April 27 (dinner theater) and public performances on April 29, May 2, May 4tand May 5. Tickets will go on sale in early April.
This week, the Weyburn Rotary Music Festival began, with competitions taking place at the Weyburn Comprehensive School, Assiniboia Park School, Weyburn Junior High and the Douglas Center. Pick up a program and attend as many sessions as you can. The "Stars of the Festival" takes place on March 21.
