Il Primo and Chelsea Woodard will be appearing in the Weyburn Concert Series second concert on October 3 at the Weyburn Comprehensive Cafetorium at 7:30 p.m.

Chelsea Woodard needs no introduction to our Weyburn audience, having performed at a number of community events. She is a coloratura soprano who divides her passion for singing between musical theatre and opera.

Chelsea has been studying voice since the age of eight. She has had the opportunity to study opera during the summer; last year in Boston and this year at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio. She is a 17-year-old student at the Weyburn Comprehensive School and plans to further her musical studies after completing Grade 12.

Following in the tradition of the three tenors, Il Primo is a crowd pleaser with a repertoire ranging from popular songs to opera, and from musical theatre to folksongs. Their promise is that there will be music for everyone's taste.

Mel Braus, David Klassen and David Playfair will be accompanied on the piano by Dr. Laura Lowan. All four are prairie artists based in Manitoba, whom are classically-trained musicians and performers.

Tickets for this concert are available at Superior Office Products or can be purchased at the door. Decide for yourself if they can live up to their claim that, "Anything tenors can sing, we can sing better."
