Weyburn Duplicate Bridge report

On December 7 when three and a half tables played, Barry Mactaggart and Quint Patrick took top honours, Jim Brown and George Gilles placed second and Andy Goeres and Andy Dumba were third. Four tables played on December 12.

Four tables played on December 12. Erskine and Mildred Sandiford finished first, Diane and Gord Bell came second and Andy Goeres and George Gilles placed third.

December 14 had four tables that played and taking first place were Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel, placing second were Jim Brown and George Gilles and in third place were Gord Freeden and Jo Wollner.

Four and a half tables played on December 19 when George Gilles and Andy Goeres placed first edging out Gord Bell and Marg Stewart who were second, followed closely by John Whitell and Roy Wallin who were third and Barry Mactaggart and Diane Bell placed fourth.

December 21 was the Christmas social evening of a turkey dinner followed by seven tables playing bridge. The Mitchell Movement was used and sitting east/west Bernie Collins and Jo Wollner placed first and they were first overall. John Whitell and Roy Wallin placed second followed by Eunice and Bob Sambrook who were third. Sitting north/south, Erskine and Mildred Sandiford finished first, Gord and Diane Bell came second and Lydia Milleker and Vivian Truscott were third.

On December 26 there was no duplicate bridge, and the final game of the year was held on December 28 with two and a half tables playing. John Whitell and Roy Wallin were first place finishers and Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart placed second.
