Now that September has arrived, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club meets at 7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Wheatland Senior Centre. All bridge players are welcome to come out for an evening of Duplicate Bridge.
On August 17, three tables played: Barry Mactaggart and Keith Eichel placed first, followed by Jim Brown and Quint Patrick tying for second with Andy Goeres and Margarette Bangsund.
Three and a half tables played on August 24, when Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel took top honours, Bernice Carlson and Chuck Widdis were second, and Gord Bell and John Whitell were third.
On August 31, four tables played: Keith Eichel and Lucie Nickel finished first, Jim Brown and George Gilles placed second and Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were third.
September 7 had four tables out: Keith Eichel and Lucie Nickel again finished first, Andy Goeres and Andy Dumba placed second and Jean Knibbs and Marion Brown were third.
On Monday, September 12 there were only two and a half tables: Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart placed first, while Marion Brown and Anne Balzer came second.
With only two tables playing on September 14, Gord Bell and Barry Mactaggart took first place while there was a tie for second between Andy Goeres and Margarette Bangsund and George Gilles and Chuck Widdis.
