During August, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club met only on Monday evenings, but regular play on Monday and Wednesday evenings will resume in September at the Wheatland Senior Centre at 7:00 p.m. All bridge players are invited to come out for an evening of duplicate bridge.
August 6 had three and a half tables and taking first place were John Whitell and Roy Wallin, in second place were Jim Brown and Jean Knibbs, and in third place were Lucie Nickel and George Gillies.
With three tables playing on August 20, Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart finished in first place, while John Whitell and Roy Wallin placed second.
On August 27 with three and a half tables playing, Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart ended the month in first place, Millie Nimegeers and Fran Long placed second while Jim Brown and George Gillies were third.
