During the last two weeks, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club has had varying numbers of tables playing on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
On November 3, when five tables played, Jerry Thiessen and Gord Bell finished first, Lucie Nickel and Ilyne Thiessen were second, Barry Mactaggart and Quint Patrick were third, followed by Millie Nimegeers and Keith Eichel in fourth.
Six and a half tables played on November 1. Sitting North/South, Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were first and there was a tie for second place between Keith Eichel and Doyle Thomas and Barb Fellner and Chuck Widdis. Sitting East/West, Andy Goeres and George Gilles took top honours followed with a tie for second between partners Marg Stewart and Jane Kerr and Jim Brown and Jean Knibbs.
October 27 had four tables playing and once again; Lucie Nickel and Ilyne Thiessen were first, Keith Eichel and Warren Betker placed second and Jerry Thiessen and Barry Mactaggart were third.
Four tables played on October 25 and Lucie Nickel and Ilyne Thiessen took first place again, edging out Bernie and Don Dufour who were second, followed by Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart who were third.
On October 20, four and a half tables played and Ilyne Thiessen and Lucie Nickel placed first, Gord Bell and Marg Stewart were second, Erskine Sandiford and Andy Goeres were third and Jean Knibbs and Marion Brown were fourth.
All Bridge players are welcome to play duplicate bridge at 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Wheatland Senior Centre.
