Weyburn Twirlers gather at Riverside Park

The Weyburn Twirlers Square Dance Club held their 16th annual summer potluck social on Sunday, August 7. There were over 30 people in attendance, coming from Regina, Estevan, Creelman, Preeceville and Weyburn to participate.

There were over 30 people in attendance, coming from Regina, Estevan, Creelman, Preeceville and Weyburn to participate.

Bob and Marion Lees from Estevan were present to call the square dance tips for the group.

The Weyburn group have been dancing for 50 years, sharing their dances with the community by dancing at nursing homes, schools, the Wheat Festival, at Riverside Park for campers and for many years have attended the annual United Way Communithon.

Past and present members, along with area square dance friends, are invited to join the Weyburn Twirlers on Sunday, October 16 at Grace United Church in Weyburn to help celebrate their 50th anniversary.
