Weyburn police deal with assaults, theft and mischief

The Weyburn Police Service dealt with a total of 83 files during this period. Weather and road conditions played a part in what was a relatively quiet week, which included some assaults, thefts and mischief as well.

Kot awards and Chocolate Decadence this Saturday

The Family Place will be presenting the Bernard Kot Parent/Grandparent of the Year Awards on Saturday, February 12 at McKenna Hall. This event will be held in conjunction with The Family Place Chocolate Decadence buffet.

Music Festival set to begin

Plans for the Weyburn Rotary Music Festival are underway. The festival runs from March 7 to 18.The piano portion will take place from March 7 to 12, the vocal portion from March 13 to 16, and the band portion from March 16 to 18.

Local caterer to hold Valentine's supper

A new local catering company will be holding a Valentine's Day supper in a group atmosphere. Chef Ellen Johnston of Flatland Catering will be featuring a group-style, five-course plated supper on Monday, February 14 at the Tommy Douglas Centre.
