When the Wheatland Community Church opens as a brand-new church in Weyburn, pastor Ed Fischer is hoping that this will truly be a community-minded group that will help meet needs and reach into the community.

The Weyburn Twirlers Square Dance Club held their 16th annual summer potluck social on Sunday, August 7. There were over 30 people in attendance, coming from Regina, Estevan, Creelman, Preeceville and Weyburn to participate.

The public is invited to attend the 2011 presentation of the Helen Davidson Music Award on Sunday, August 21. The music award presentation and concert will get underway at 7 p.m. at the T.C.
