Tourism Saskatchewan announced that 27 businesses earned the 2017 Employer of Choice designation including the Canalta Assiniboia. This is the third year in a row that Canalta Assiniboia has received this designation.
There was an increase of 23 per cent businesses who received the Employer of Choice designation for 2017. “As an employer, the Canalta likes to create a good working environment for the team,” said San Kapoor, general manager of Canalta Assiniboia.
One of the ways the hotel chain does this is to provide training and study opportunities. “There is a lot of on-line study available to them if they want to pursue careers in the hospitality industry,” Kapoor added. The Canalta management also get to know the team members and what goals they wish to achieve. Another benefit for the hotel employees is full use of the amenities such as the fitness centre at any time.
