WEYBURN -- The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced that Abby Pohl received their 2021 Scholarship. The Chamber Scholarship criteria are based on Employment with a Weyburn Chamber Member, community involvement and volunteerism, and academic achievements.
As a federal election was called, the Weyburn Chamber will hold an all-candidates debate on Thursday, September 9. The Chamber aims to ensure that candidates are aware of the need for a strong recover coming out of COVID-19. They will also continue to lobby for a small, more transparent government as well as push for a fair and equitable transfer system.
Coffee with the Chamber will be held at the Ramada Hotel on Tuesday, September 21 at 10 a.m. The guest speaker is James Bogusz, CEO of the Regina Airport Authority. He will provide a comprehensive look at the airport, and discuss the challenges during COVID-19 and what it means for the future of the YQR and its recovery.
