22 participate in 31st annual Terry Fox Run at Kenosee Lake

Attendance was down from last year but we still enjoyed our walk/run and it's meaningfulcause. We raised a little over $2000 and had some special people to remember before we started out on our 5km trek.

Attendance was down from last year but we still enjoyed our walk/run and it's meaningfulcause. We raised a little over $2000 and had some special people to remember before we started out on our 5km trek. Thank you all who came out to be a part of our special day!!

We wanted to remember the drive behind this event, that being Betty Fox who passed away in June. She made the Terry Fox Run what it is today...a huge success in her son's memory and she will be dearly missed.

We also wanted to remembera long time participantfrom the lake,William Rolufs who passed away last year at the age of 93 and had participated even before I, Jackie Doty, have been organizing the run here at Kenosee 11 years ago. We dedicated our run to a friend of Yvonne Loustel's, Dionne Warner from Regina, a 7 time cancer survivor and who is currentlyin stage 4 cancer.I just cannot even fathom going through whatthis ladyhas in her life time. Whatan inspiration. We send healing prayers and angelsto you Dionnein hopesthat your treatments are beyond successful. She will be guest speaker at the Creative Tables event in Arcola this year Oct 6th and will be telling her amazing story.
