The Weyburn Triple C Centre will be presenting a concert of the Royal Canadian Air Force Bands, Command Brass and Pipes and Drums on October 1 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will be held in the Weyburn Comprehensive School Cafetorium and will include the Weyburn Comprehensive School Concert Band.

Weyburn is the only Saskatchewan location to be included on this tour by the RCAF bands. The concert, 'A Salute to our Veterans and Those Who Serve,' will begin with a local honour guard.

Command Brass is the RCAF Band's brass quintet, which features two trumpets, a tuba, a french horn and a trombone. The talented group has a large and diverse repertoire of classical music, but is equally at home performing exciting arrangements of jazz, swing, Dixie, latin and pop music. From Bach to Bohemian Rhapsody, Command Brass adds a touch of class to every event.

The Pipes and Drums of the RCAF is the first and only full time professional compliment of bagpipe and pipe drum musicians in the history of the Canadian Forces. Professional soloists from Canada's pipes and drums trove, this outstanding group supports the Canadian Forces at a wide range of ceremonial occasions, at community events across Canada and internationally.

Tickets are available at Superior Office Products, Total Effects Day Spa and Weyburn Co-op Foods. Adults in advance pay $20 or at the door $25. Students pay $10.
