Arthur is known for having had the distinction of being the youngest mayor in Saskatchewan when he was elected as the mayor of Qu'Appelle in 2006.

Before being elected as mayor he served three years on the town council of Qu'Appelle.

When asked what kind of MP he hopes to be, Arthur responded, "I want to give back by providing honest and strong representation for the citizens of this riding and ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities I have had.I feel like this riding needs someone to be a voice for Souris-Moose Mountain in Ottawa, not Stephen Harper's Ottawa Conservative voice here in Saskatchewan."

The Federal Election is scheduled for May 2.
