Bengough man charged with 2nd degree murder

The RCMP Major Crime South Unit have charged 65-year-old Bengough man with second degree murder.

The RCMP Major Crime South Unit have charged 65-year-old Bengough man with second degree murder. The charges against Tony Warken stem from an incident first reported to the Bengough RCMP on November 1, 2009 when 65-year-old Gordon Gregson, also of Bengough, was found deceased in his residence.On December 1, Warken was arrested in Bengough by members of the Major Crime Unit and held in custody until his first court appearance, which is scheduled for the morning of December 2 at Regina Provincial Court.The charges were formally laid on December 1 by police.The investigation was supported by members of the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit out of Yorkton and Regina as well as members of the Bengough detachment. Also assisting with the investigation was the Moose Jaw GIS unit, the RCMP Southern Enforcement Response Team (SERT) and the Provincial Coroner's office.
