A non-competitive best ball tournament for people of all skill levels was held last weekend at Golf Kenosee. Participants registered as teams of four or as singles.
The 10th annual tournament was held to raise money for the Kenosee Lake Bible Camp which is owned and operated by the Canadian Sunday School Mission.
According to the website, along with presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ as written in the Bible, the camp also teaches campers important life-skills, such as resolving conflict and getting along with others in a bully free environment. A variety of other fun camp activities such as tubing, wakeboarding, archery, paintball and much more are offered.
The morning began at 10:30 a.m. at the Golf Kenosee Pro Shop.
Entry was $80 per person and included 18 holes of golf, half a cart, and a beef dinner at Kenosee Lake Bible Camp. Following the dinner and awards ceremony, an opportunity to make a donation was presented.
Participants ranged from teenagers to adults and consisted mainly of young men.
The day was filled with jokes and teasing, making the course into quite the comedy club.
The golfers were good sports about the bipolar weather, which changed quickly from sun to rain and back throughout the day.
