Butters honoured with award in her name

Isabelle Butters was given a surprise honour on August 2 at the Legion Hall, where the Quota International of Weyburn Club hosted a Centennial Tea following the new inductions into the Weyburn Walk of Fame.

Quota International of Weyburn president Lorraine Wilkinson (right) presented Isabelle Butters with the honour of the Quota International of Weyburn Community Service award being renamed the Isabelle Butters Community Service Award. The surprise presentation took place following Butters' plaque on the Weyburn Walk of Fame reveal on August 2.

Isabelle Butters was given a surprise honour on August 2 at the Legion Hall, where the Quota International of Weyburn Club hosted a Centennial Tea following the new inductions into the Weyburn Walk of Fame.

Quota president Lorraine Wilkinson made the presentation, explaining that the local Quota club has been proud to sponsor the Community Service Award as part of the Women of the Year awards, which the club hosts each spring.

In honour of Butters' significant contributions to the Quota club, including her leadership and friendship, the group has chosen to change the name of the Quota International of Weyburn Community Service Award to 'The Isabelle Butters Community Service Award'. The award will continue to be sponsored by Quota International of Weyburn.
