Carlyle Community School

It's hard to believe we are almost finished June.

It's hard to believe we are almost finished June. It has been a busy month at our school with different classes going on various field trips, swimming at the pool and finishing up year-end projects!

On Friday, June 6th, our school took part in a Community Clean Up. For the last hour of school all of our students could be seen outside in the school yard and surrounding streets with garbage bags collecting garbage. The students and staff were then rewarded with popsicles for doing such a great job! On Sunday, June 8th our school hosted the Young Writers of Saskatchewan Celebration. Students from different schools in the Southeast were invited to read their stories and poems which had been published in a book. Great job to all of the students who took part in this afternoon! After all the stories had been read everyone was treated to cake and iced tea. Thank you to Ms. Bue who did a great job organizing this event!

Kindergarten Grad was held on Monday, June 16th. The two Kindergarten classes worked very hard at preparing their graduation songs and everyone did a great job! Good luck in Grade One next year!

The last SRC Dress-up day for the year will be Monday, June 23rd. The theme will be 'Beach', so students are encouraged to come to school in their favorite beach attire.

Our Grade 6 Farewell will be on Wed. June 25th at 11:15am followed by our Year End BBQ at 11:50am. Watch for a note coming home regarding the BBQ! Thursday, June 26th is our last day of classes and Report Cards will also go home this day.

Have a great summer and we will see you in September!
