Momentum has started toward Volume 2 of Carlyle and District History. More than 200 family histories have been submitted along with the stories of many businesses and groups.
The organizing committee has chosen a printer, Friesen's of Altona Manitoba, and typing & editing is underway. Hopefully you have already joined in but -if not - it's not too late. You are a part of this history whether you are new in this community or born here.
Besides personal history, we are looking for interesting stories of Century Family Farms, family reunions, weather events, ghost stories - let's make this an interesting book.
It is an enormous task we have undertaken on your behalf. Our goal is to publish this book by the end of this year but we need financial support. We need a substantial down payment to submit any material. We ask that you prepay books for yourself and other family members at $60.00/book. We are also requesting sponsors to step forward with contributions toward the project. Donations of $250.00 or more will receive special recognition in the book.
