The Weyburn & District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Development Levy 101 on May 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Microtel Inn and Suites.

Development Levy 101 is a panel discussion to provide an information sharing portal and also to provide an opportunity for business to ask questions that they might have regarding the impact of levies on their operations.

"The Chamber feels it is important that our Members understand this policy and that municipal government understands the need for communication. It is vitally important that future developers understand their rights and responsibilities when it comes to this policy," said Chamber Manager Jeff Richards.

The panelist include: Martino Verhaeghe from the City of Weyburn; Tim Cheesman, representing the RM of Weyburn; Doug Rogers, principle at Terra Developments; and Tom Williams who is a professional engineer working with developers around the province.

This forum is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
