Christmas concerts planned for Weyburn schools

A number of holiday productions are being planned for Weyburn’s schools in the last couple of weeks before the Christmas break begins on Dec. 22.

WEYBURN – A number of holiday productions are being planned for Weyburn’s schools in the last couple of weeks before the Christmas break begins on Dec. 22.

The Weyburn Comp held their junior band and choir concert on Tuesday, with the senior band and choir concert slated for tonight, Dec. 13, in the Cugnet Centre.

St. Michael School held a concert for their Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 children at 1 p.m. with a second performance at 6 p.m. today, Dec. 13, and Christmas activities will be available for Grades 4-6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The Grades 7-9 will have activities at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, and the concert is at 7 p.m. in the St. Michael School gym.

At Assiniboia Park school, there will be family caroling on the front lawn of the school starting at 6 p.m. today, Dec. 13.

There will be four concerts over two days at Legacy Park Elementary, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 19 and 20, all offered at two different performance times.

On Dec. 19, the plays are “Gnome for the Holidays”, at 9:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and “Holly Jolly Jukebox”, at 10:35 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.

On Dec. 20, the plays will be “North Pole’s Got Talent” at 9:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and “LPES Winter Vacation” at 10:35 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.
