A complaint was received regarding a mischief to patio doors of an apartment building in the northwest area of the city on June 18. A large rock was thrown through the glass portion of the doors. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
A complaint was received June 18 from a female resident that she was receiving threatening texts from an ex-boyfriend. The investigation into this matter continues with the assistance of the Bengough RCMP.
Police were called on June 18 to a local department store on the west side of the city to investigate a theft complaint where a drill and some pop were taken. The male suspect left the area in a vehicle described as an early 2000's White Ford truck. The matter is under investigation.
A complaint of a hit and run to a motor vehicle was received by police on June 19. The vehicle had been parked at a local grocery store parking lot. The vehicle was damaged on its driver's side and the offending vehicle had left the scene.
Police received a complaint on June 19 regarding a damaged vehicle that was parked in the northeast area of the city. The vehicle's rear window had been broken.
Police were called to a local bar on June 20 to investigate a reported motor vehicle accident. The investigation determined the suspect vehicle had hit another parked vehicle as well as a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 25-year-old male, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. As a result a 24-year-old male from Weyburn was arrested and charged with driving a motor vehicle while over .08 and impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. The male will be making his first court appearance in July.
Police received a mischief complaint on June 21 from a resident in the central part of the city about her vehicle being vandalized. The vehicle's gas tank was tampered with and parts of it were damaged. The matter remains under investigation.
As a result of a complaint on June 21, a 13-year-old young person was arrested and charged for possessing a small amount of marijuana. He will be appearing in court in September.
Police were called to a local bar to investigate an assault on June 21. As a result of the investigation it was determined an altercation occurred where a 24-yea-old male was struck with a pool cue and suffered minor injuries. As a result a 23-year-old male from Bienfait was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and criminal mischief. He will appear in court in June.
Police assisted the Weyburn Fire Dept with a possible fire in an apartment in the downtown area of the city on June 22. Although there was some smoke it was determined the owner of the apartment had a left a pot on the stove causing the smoke. There was no damage or injuries.
Police received a complaint of a theft of a 50" Samsung TV from a local residence on June 23. The matter remains under investigation.
Police were called to a report of a vehicle fire on a grid road just south of the city on Sunday. The vehicle, later reported stolen, was found burning but unoccupied. The vehicle was destroyed. The matter is under joint investigation by Weyburn Police Service and RCMP.
Police received a complaint of mischief on Sunday afternoon. The owner of the vehicle had gotten into an argument with another male and it is alleged the vehicle was kicked during the incident damaging the vehicle. The matter remains under investigation.
On June 20-21, The Weyburn Police Service participated in a SGI coordinated province-wide traffic blitz. This blitz focused on awareness and increasing public safety on our roads in regards to cell phone usage and seat belts. The Weyburn Police Service checked over 75 vehicles, laying two cell phone tickets, four seatbelt tickets, in addition there were four speeding tickets issued and one individual charged with drive while disqualified.

On May 3, 2012, Weyburn police received a complaint regarding a gas drive-off from the Mac's Convenience Store. The male individual used three different fuel pumps, only paying for fuel used from two. The value of the fuel taken is approximately $100.
On May 22, 2012, police received a complaint of fuel theft from the Esso gas station. A male suspect described as approximately 5'8-5'10" with a stocky build, dark hair and goatee, driving a dark-colored Dodge Ram truck with a yellow quad or dirt bike in the back, put $67 worth of gas in his truck, purchased other items from the store and left without paying for the fuel.
