The Weyburn Co-op will be consolidating the products presently sold out of their City Centre Mall location to their Hill Avenue and Metro Centre locations. Product lines related to Building Materials will be relocated to the Hill Avenue location. Product lines related to seasonal goods, home decor or lawn and garden decor will be relocated to the Metro Centre on Third Street. Product lines that will no longer be stocked due to space constraints will be available on special order from the Hill Avenue location.
The Co-operative made the decision after many requests by the membership to have the related product in one location and several years of having Hardware and Building Materials separate. This consolidation will improve service levels, as Co-op will be able to staff one location with trained staff easier than having them divided into separate departments.
The move is scheduled to be completed before the end of November. The Hill Avenue location will be fully merchandised by December 1. Christmas season products have already been relocated to the Metro Centre.
