The Estevan Police Service has made arrests on driving-related infractions and responded to a couple of accidents in the past couple of days.

Police are investigating a mischief to a vehicle that occurred Dec. 29 in the Smith Street area, in which the vehicle was egged. Anyone with knowledge about this incident is asked to call the Estevan Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

Members charged a 28-year-old male with driving while suspended and impounded his vehicle for 30 days after a traffic stop in the 600-block of King Street. He also had warrants from the Regina Police Service and was released for court in that city in February.

Officers are looking into a hit and run collision that occurred in the mall parking lot. The matter is still under investigation.

The EPS also revealed on their Twitter feed that a vehicle was stopped for travelling 121 kilometres per hour in a 60 zone inside the city on Dec. 29. A $921 fine was issued.

Police received a report of an accident in the 100-block of King Street on Dec. 30. Members attended and learned that one of the vehicles had left a parking lot and was hit by another vehicle that was westbound on King Street. The driver that was pulling out of the parking lot was charged with proceeding from a stop sign before it was safe to do so. There were no injuries reported and only minor damage occurred to both vehicles.
