Estevan police locate missing youth

ESTEVAN — On March 31 Estevan Police Service received a report of a missing youth.

Members were informed that she had gone out with friends and had not returned home. They were able to locate the youth and contacted the parents. The parents attended and picked her up.

The same day, police also received a call through the Report of an Impaired Driver (RID) line. The vehicle was located, and the driver was not impaired by alcohol or drugs. The police had a family member attend to pick up the driver. A driver's license review has been initiated on the matter.

Members received a report of a disturbance in a Trojan subdivision apartment. Police attended but the parties had left. One of the parties returned prior to police leaving, at which time he was spoken to. The other party was spoken to via the telephone, and the matter has been resolved.

EPS received a second RID complaint in relation to another vehicle, members attended but were unable to locate the vehicle described.

Members responded to a call regarding a vehicle at a local business. The driver appeared to be intoxicated. Members attended, but the vehicle had left the area. Patrols of the area were unsuccessful in locating the vehicle.

Police were informed that a vehicle was driving erratically in the parking lot on the north end of the city. Members were tied up on another matter, and when able to attend, the vehicle was gone.

March 30, police received a report of a vehicle entering the city from the east that was driving on the wrong side of the road. No license plate was provided. Members patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

EPS also received a complaint of a male receiving a phone call that he had won 3.5 million dollars and the money would be delivered in the upcoming days. No information was provided to the callers.
