Estevan police officers arrest Regina man on Canada-wide arrest warrant

A Regina man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant was apprehended in Estevan.

ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service and the Estevan RCMP arrested a 34-year-old Regina man on a Canada-wide arrest warrant Tuesday.

Police received information that the man was staying at a residence in the downtown core. Upon further investigation, officers were able to confirm this information.

Members attended to the residence and Billie Bertram was arrested Tuesday without incident. He was wanted for being unlawfully at large regarding a parole violation. There were no safety concerns for the public.

Police were also dispatched to a residence Tuesday for a possible domestic dispute. Both parties were arguing about custody agreements. Members were able to mediate the situation and no further police involvement was required.
