The Estevan Police Service has announced two people have died after a house fire Tuesday morning in Estevan.
The EPS report that a call was received at 2:04 a.m. regarding a fire in the Pleasantdale area. Upon arrival both the EPS and Estevan Fire Rescue Service found the home at 1101 Hillcrest Drive engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze but major damage had occurred to the structure. The subsequent investigation of the scene produced the bodies of two adults, one male and one female.
The EPS and Estevan Fire Rescue are working to determine the bodies of the two deceased. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Investigators from the Office of the Fire Commissioner are on scene. The public is asked to avoid the area during the investigation.
