Weyburn Firefighters Marc Schweitzer and Krista Reinfelds collected donations during the annual Muscular Dystrophy Fill the Boot Drive on September 10.

The Weyburn Fire Department held their annual Fill the Boot for Muscular Dystrophy Drive last weekend. Firefighters posted themselves at street corners throughout Weyburn on September 10 and encouraged residents to fill their work boots for Muscular Dystrophy.

The event raised $5,303.48 but Fire Chief Steve Debienne said their job is not done yet. For the next two weeks firefighters have set out small fire boots in some of the local businesses to continue collecting funds.

All monies raised will go to Muscular Dystrophy Canada. This is a cause support by all Fire Fighters.
