The top 10 in each category advance to Provincials in Balgonie on Sat. October 13th, 2012. The volleyball teams are also starting practices immediately. The Senior Golf District Playoffs are at Kenossee Lake on Tuesday, September 11. The first School Community Council meeting is Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 @ 7pm at GFK School. All parents are welcome! The GFK Picture Day is Monday, September 17th. There will be no school on Friday, September 28th, 2012. It is a Professional Development Day for staff. Mrs. Biberdorf and her Home Economics class would appreciate any used tape measures and scrap fabric for her classes. If you have any around your place and you would like to donate them to GFK please contact Mrs. Bieberdorf. The school is looking for games to be used within the Workplace and Apprenticeship 10, 20, and 30 courses. They are to be used in outcomes within the courses to help develop spatial reasoning, numerical reasoning and logical reasoning. If you have any of the following games that your family has outgrown or is willing to donate to the school, we would really appreciate it. Just bring them in to the office! Games we are looking for are: Rubik's Cube, Blokus, chess, checkers, backgammon, Mastermind, Connect Four, Battleship, Cathedral World, Yahtzee, cribbage, Reverse. Thanks so much!
