Congratulations to the GFK Class of 2012. On Saturday, the graduates had a beautiful banquet and ceremony to celebrate their graduation from high school. The grads would like to thank all of the people who attended and all of the people who helped to make the day so wonderful. Thank you to the many presenters, the school staff, Karen and Mike Smith for all of their efforts with the decorating (The rink looked amazing), and Mr. Fehrenbach for his words of wisdom.
Final exams for all grade 10, 11, and 12 students begin Friday, June 22 and continue on June 25, 26, and 27. Friday's exams (9:00 AM) are: Grade 10 Math, Grade 11 Math, and Grade 12 ELA. Monday's exams (9:00 AM) are Grade 10 Science and Grade 11/12 Law. Tuesday's exams (9:00 AM) are Grade 10 Accounting, Grade 11 ELA, and Grade 12 Biology. Tuesday at 12:40 PM is Grade 11 Psychology. Wednesday's exams (9:00 AM) are Grade 10 ELA and Grade 12 Math. Wednesday at 12:40 PM is Grade 11 /12 Chemistry.
Local businesses can have a business-card size advertisement placed in the yearbook for $20 or they can sponsor a photo page for $30. Half-page and full-page advertisements are also available. If you are interested in placing an ad in the GFK yearbook please contact Melissa Sweet for details. The 2010-2011 yearbooks are still available. The cost is now $20. The 2011-2012 yearbooks are $25. If anyone has taken pictures of GFK students which might be of interest to the Yearbook Committee, please email them to Melissa Sweet at melissa.sweet@cornerstonesd.ca so the pictures can be included in the 2011-2012 Yearbook. Currently the yearbook is looking for pictures from senior girls' volleyball and drama.
