The two new members at large for the Estevan board of police commissioners were sworn in during Tuesday's police board meeting.

Bernadette Wright and Michelle Graff took the Oath of Office and the Oath of Secrecy from Judge Michelle Brass. The remaining members of the police board are Mayor Roy Ludwig, and Councillors Lyle Yanish and Trevor Knibbs.

Graff was appointed as a member at large by city council back in January. Josh LeBlanc was also appointed by council, but he later declined the post.

Due to LeBlanc's decision, council had to hold another vote for the police board during the Feb. 11 meeting. The three remaining candidates from January's vote - Wright, Robin Poliszuk and Kevin Smith - were on the ballot, and Wright was selected by council.

This was the first police board meeting of the year. Board members looked at the crime numbers and the bylaw enforcement officer's report for the end of 2018 and January of this year.
