The Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast Association has identified the Top Ten B&Bs in Saskatchewan, based on feedback from guests.

The Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast Association has created a list of the Top Ten bed and breakfast businesses in Saskatchewan. The list is based on the feedback from guests using the Association's Guest Comment Cards. This is the first time that such a list has been produced in Saskatchewan.

Topping the list is Fir River Ranch near Hudson Bay. A close second to Fir River Ranch is Sunset Escape B&B in Spiritwood. Rounding out the top three is Lotters Landing B&B in Melville, owned and operated by Marilyn Chopiuk.

The other outstanding B&Bs in Top Ten list are as follows:

No. 4 is Lowes B&B and Art Gallery at Battleford Provincial Park.

No. 5 is Backroads B&B near to Annaheim (near Humboldt).

No. 6 (tied) is Harbour View B&B at Mainprize Park which is run by Meryl and Valerie Wanner and Rubil B&B in Lanigan.

No. 8 is Orioles Paradise in Carnduff.

No. 9 is Shady Porch B&B in Rosetown.

No. 10 is Redmond House B&B and Dining Establishment in Maple Creek.

The Top Ten B&B list was unveiled at the Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast Association's Annual Conference at Fort Qu'Appelle on Friday, February 24, 2012. Hon. Bill Hutchinson, Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport, was on hand to congratulate the Top Ten B&B operators and to present awards to those operators who were at the conference.

The Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast Association is the voluntary, not-for-profit organization that brings together and represents all the accredited bed and breakfasts in Saskatchewan. All of them are entitled to use the Association's Black Rooster quality assurance symbol. Their operations are right across Saskatchewan: in cities, towns, resort areas, rural areas and farms, on the prairie, in the parkland and in the northern forest fringe. Each one is unique and makes a special contribution to the variety of experiences offered to guests. SBBA encourages all travelers to look for accredited B&Bs - they are identified by the Black Rooster symbol. As of March 2012 there are 78 members of SBBA.
